So a couple of you may remember my post about a Passat a week or so ago. Well yesterday I pulled the trigger and took her home.
She is a 2008 Passat Wagon Komfort 2.0T. Overall for a 2008 it is really clean, there are of course some small things here and there but I will be working to get it as close to perfect as possible. Now I just have to decide where to put the Oppo sticker.
Side note, it has Goodyear Eagle GT’s on it. Anybody have opinions of the tires. They still have good tread left so not like I will be changing the anytime soon.

Nice purchase! I’m jealous haha
Goodyear Eagle GT’s - Are they the 1 or the 2 (II being newer)? Either way it’s sort of an all round all season tire, more comfort oriented and does better in dry. Depending on what sort of driving you’re doing (e.g. just A to B no fun) they could be perfect. If you want some more spirited driving even just A to B with some fun corners I’d consider an upgrade.

That is one heck of an attractive wagon. I laughed a bit at “komfort”, though.

Nice cars; I put 75,000 miles on a 2007 wagon. I still have the European spec tail lights (yellow turn indicators) which I kept for some weird reason...

If they have the rear fog I may be interested in those. haha

Yay! Good choice! Here’s ours when fully loaded for vacation:
Those tires should be fine, never had any issues with them (from a service perspective). Do you live where there is snow in the winter?

I always loved the styling of this generation. Hope you enjoy the car!

I never went for the rear fog; too much hassle and that light’s actually in the lift gate if I recall. As they are, the center of the light is the brake light; red running lights are the circle, turn signals are YELLOW LEDs that light over the red running circle. Very bright, very eye catching to keep some dope from rear ending. That’s why I bought them...I didn’t think the stock lights showed the turn signal distinctly enough...
I do have the rear fog on my ‘02 Beetle though :)

You spelled komfort wrong, it’s KÖMFORT
